Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops by Jen Campbell
5 Stars
Title: Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops
Author: Jen Campbell
Genre: comedy, non fiction
Synopsis:
From the hugely popular blog, a miscellany of hilarious and peculiar bookshop moments:
'Can books conduct electricity?'
'My children are just climbing your bookshelves: that's ok... isn't it?'
A John Cleese Twitter question ['What is your pet peeve?'], first sparked the 'Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops' blog, which grew over three years into one bookseller's collection of ridiculous conversations on the shop floor.
From 'Did Beatrix Potter ever write a book about dinosaurs?' to the hunt for a paperback which could forecast the next year's weather; and from 'I've forgotten my glasses, please read me the first chapter' to'Excuse me... is this book edible?'
This full-length collection illustrated by the Brothers McLeod also includes top 'Weird Things' from bookshops around the world.
My Review:
This book is recommended to everyone who needs something to laugh at... LOL.
Thanks to this book so I can spend some time in my busy schedule to giggle... everytime I feel bad or mad, I read one or two stories... and voila, I feel better... That's why I take quite long time to finish this book hehehe...
Some stories are really funny, some are quite confusing but as a total, this book is great. I really laugh when reading about a customer that refused to read the first book of Harry Potter but then complaining because he didn't know who Voldemort is. LOL... And also the one that only want to read a book if Robert Pattinson is in it. Crazy...
